Improvement of rainwater collection conditions in various areas of the city of Málaga.

CONSTRUCTION PROJECT OF A PEDESTRIAN PATH TO CONNECT MADRID RÍO WITH THE MANZANARES LINEAR PARK
Construction of a mixed use pedestrian and bike path between two large environmental and recreational areas, ‘Madrid Río’ and the ‘Linear Park of Manzanares’.

The path allows continuous traffic along the banks of the Manzanares River in its urban stretch, connecting the southern part of the city to the city center.

Within the ‘MADRID DEPURA PLAN’, this water reuse scheme is developed to gradually replace current irrigation supplies with reclaimed water.

Water resources for human consumption and groundwater deposits are thus reserved.

Projects with technical and economic definition to connect the irrigation network of the park with the regenerated water network are elaborated for each one of the green spaces.

Environmental actions aimed at keeping the bed of the stream in healthy ecological condition through the removal of contaminations from the drainage network into the bed, elimination of allochthonous vegetation, cleaning of debris and inert materials, improvement of existing riverbank vegetation and new plantings.
